5950x WHEA faults in bus/interconnect sections
Hey everyone, I just finished setting up my new PC with these specs: AMD 5950X, Aorus 3090 Master, X570 Pro, Corsair AX850, Corsair Vengeance 3600mhz, 2x32GB RAM, 64GB SSD. Even after updating drivers and BIOS, I keep seeing uncorrectable WHEA errors and the Event Viewer reports a bus interconnect issue. I’ve read many similar stories online, but it seems more stable now with the latest BIOS updates (currently running F31q). I’m wondering if I should go ahead with an RMA since replacing the CPU might take a long time due to global supply problems, especially since I’m in Australia. This error used to appear only when I switched tabs while gaming, but now it pops up randomly during gameplay for 1 to 6 hours. Despite that, the machine still runs smoothly and plays great, so I’m thinking about waiting before submitting a request until things stabilize. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated!
Wea hes unresolvable often due to excessive overclocking. My thought is your RAM might be the issue. I’d attempt to reduce your RAM’s clock speeds to around 3200 and see if it stabilizes. You may need to tweak timings and slightly loosen them.
Thank you for the response. The same problem continues once the memory multiplier is set to 32.0 in the BIOS.
