Tried Cinebench R23 on my 5900x at 4.2gHz with RTX 3060ti on an MSI Mag X570 Tomahawk board. Used 64g of Gskill CL14 DDR4 memory. CPU multicore score is low at 1378 points, while R23 lists 1700x @3.4gHz with a score over 8000. Everything else seems normal—cooling is good, temps stable, XMP enabled and PBO active. Playing Breakpoint or Sniper Elite 5 works fine, FPS consistently above 100. Edited June 18, 2022 by waky53

It looks like you're mixing up single-core and multicore performance data. The 5900x single core reaches around 1600 points at overclocked speeds, so unless you're running it at a very low frequency, you won't see a multicore result lower than the average single core. Check your Cinebench setup—ensure it's using a single-core test and verify the rendering output. Also, confirm your BIOS settings match the intended speed.

It's worth noting... I've achieved more than expected performance in CB R23 on both my 5900X and 1700, but I believe a bit of research could help further.
