It clearly restricts the clock speed range. With Ryzen Master I noticed variations in the maximum all-core clock when using Cinebench based on the settings I applied. Once a particular constraint (PPT/TDC/EDC) was hit, the clock would stop increasing. I could achieve a score around 8200 with clocks near 4.2ghz, then boost the limits and reach ~8400 at ~4.4ghz.

I followed what I knew about the device’s limits and used that information to adjust the settings. It performed well without any issues. With my 5900X, I tried different approaches but didn’t get good results. I kept experimenting until I discovered what worked best for me. Having the kids around gave me more time to figure it out. It’s definitely a tricky process.

I tried ppt tdc edc with pbo to determine the best performance for single-threaded and multi-threaded tasks. Hwinfo64 worked well for tracking. I used Linpack, occt, superpi 32m, and some 3D applications. A mix of all these tools was effective.

Did you raise the thresholds until they stopped being met? I think it seems like only the percentage of power limits shown in hwinfo64 needs to stay under 100%.

I reduced a few and raised the rest.
