I have a 5820k with a past overclock of 4.2ghz at 1.205v.
After a few years, I removed the overclock once the computer was back online and noticed problems with my Corsair AIO.
I replaced it now and restored the 4.2ghz setting, but benchmarks dropped compared to letting the ASUS motherboard manage the boost to 4.1ghz.
After resetting defaults and trying again, I can't access the voltage control anymore—even though I never touched any switches on my Asus X99A 3.1 board.
My Ripjaws V 2133mhz with 2x16GB is also underperforming despite XMP being enabled.
Could someone advise me? I haven’t overclocked in years, and when I did, the technician who sold my AIO helped a studio-level setup and explained the process.
