Updated from a 5600X to a 5800X3D in December; only discovered yesterday it was limited to a 6-core CPU due to a Windows glitch. I only realized this after seeing poor scores on Cinebenh r23. Struggled to understand why my CPU stayed at 3.4GHz under stress and barely reached 60fps during games. Luckily, I identified the issue and it’s now running smoothly again. One mystery remains: why my 1% lows are so minimal. While benchmarking God of War at 1080p Ultra/High, I averaged 120fps with lows in the 30s. I’m using an Asus Dual OC 4070 with the 5800X3D, no upscaling or g-sync enabled. Reflex is active with Boost and Ultimate Performance settings, and my RAM is Corsair Vengenance RGB 32GB (8x4) at 3600MHz CL18.

Did you adjust the voltage too low or have issues before using a 5600x? Upgrading from 3950x to 5800x caused some UEFI problems that needed fixing, such as the motherboard not recognizing the CPU change.

120fps average matches typical performance for a standard YouTube video on comparable CPU and GPU.

That's mostly the issue. I also resolved the 1% dips, so everything is fine now.
