I'm planning to upgrade my setup to a 5800X and need a new cooling solution. I'm currently running a 1600AF and think the Wraith cooler won't fit. I'm aiming for a budget of $50 to $100, either an air-cooled or all-in-one unit. I'm using a Thermaltake Versa H18 with the built-in fan as exhaust and three uphere 120MM fans—two front for intake, one top for exhaust. I'm also installing an AMD 6800X that's 267mm long, so I'll need to think about radiator and fan dimensions. The case space allows 350mm in length and a CPU height of 155mm. Any recommendations would be great!
I opt for air cooling. Those AIOs in that price range won’t match the Noctua D15S ($100) for a 5800X. You could also choose the Scythe Mugen 5 or Vetroo U6 for about $50, and both work well with overclocking without problems.
I might need to choose the Scythe Fuma 2 or vetroo for air-cooled setups. The others aren't compatible with the case.
I'm also in with the idea that everyone who works with noctua turns into a fan when they use their product. It's really impressive how effectively the cooler performs on my 3950x. Of course, I don't have both fans running at the same time and it still outperforms all other AIOs I've tried. The two models I had were a 240mm and a 140mm from Corsair. Also, air cooling tends to be simpler to repair if something fails.

Well, I ended up having to purchase a new case so I will have the clearance for a Noctua. Is there a real performance difference between the D15 and D15s? I see that the D15 had dual fans and it is only $10 more expensive (black version). I'm guessing it's just an issue of clearance and space?
