Hello everyone I purchased this card about two years ago. It functions quite well under normal conditions, but when under heavy use—like gaming with maximum settings or frequent alt-tab navigation—it freezes the whole system. The fans spin at full speed, and I often have to unplug it and restart it manually. After a restart, I need to manually enable the device in Device Manager and then reboot again; otherwise, the drivers won’t work. I’ve tried underclocking and undervolting, which helps somewhat but doesn’t fully resolve the issue. My settings are lost every time this happens, and it seems like this should not be necessary. Looking for advice! Thanks in advance.

Consider checking for overheating using software such as hwinfo to determine if this is related to the issue. Research typical temperatures for your hardware and see if significant differences exist; reseating the cooler might help. With older boards, damaged solder joints are a concern—baking could resolve that, though I’d be careful and there’s a video on that topic.
