I can swap it out. My CPU runs at 4650mhz with all cores active. The Cinebench score improved from 10,000 to about 15,000 on the stock cooler. Temperatures stay under 75°C, and I’d like quieter operation with white RGB lighting. A budget LED strip would work well. This data comes from the stock cooler Cinebench test I ran.

Don't fret about him; he's grumpy and his social skills are even worse than mine. He doesn't grasp why people prefer different things, let alone share the same tastes. That's embarrassing! Though this feels more like a status update than a post, that's my view. I actually enjoy the Ryzen APU.

They need to work on that, honestly.

How are you planning to trade it? Give it back or just get rid of it? If you return it, you might have to cover shipping costs since you bought online. Selling it won’t save you much money either, and losing some cash on resale or return could mean keeping it. You probably won’t gain much from upgrading to something like a liquid freezer 240, and there aren’t really better options in the $80 range.

I purchased it from B&H, they offer a reasonable return policy.

If you locate a liquid freezer 280 around $110, it could be worthwhile but you'll need to confirm it fits your case. You might prefer updating the thermal paste with a quality option like kryonaut rather than swapping the entire air cooler.

I cleaned off the stock paste and used some extra coolermaster paste I have from a hyper 212 in my home PC on the AIO instead. I am curious if I did it correctly but swapping it would be an easy task! This is a micro ATX build and it was hard to fit this 240mm AIO in properly (with correct mounting). Not sure if I could get a 280 while keeping it mounted correctly. I see a couple of lf280's on amazon for less than $115.

Btw what is your case? If it cant fit a 280mm then no point in upgrading since the 240mm wont give much of a difference

Do you believe high-end paste wouldn't significantly impact performance, or are you referring to the cooler?

I don't believe an upgrade is necessary here since the airflow is already poor. Not to mention it doesn't support a 280mm fan. Suggest keeping your current setup and just upgrade the thermal paste to Kryo. Removing the front panel can improve airflow, which should bring some benefits.
