5700g CPU paired with a 240mm airhead... :)
Are you referring to the Builds and Planning section? What inquiry do you have?
I was looking for an all-in-one setup right away and knew a 120mm wouldn't be enough. This chip has a lower TDP, and I liked its appearance. I think it would have been better to pair it with a solid air cooler, but I appreciate the style of the Asus AIO. I purchased the Asus TUF LC 240 for $109, thinking it would be a great upgrade!
You really went over your budget for that small 240mm air conditioner. It’s actually priced the same as the larger liquid freezer model, and it performs better than the NH D15 while being quieter.
The device functions properly and doesn’t have software that can damage your operating system (looking at you nzxt kraken aios and nzxt cam). If you’re weary of the aio, you might even consider selling it for a good price since ASUS aios often seem overpriced based on what I’ve seen.
It had RBG and I aimed for white fans to stand out against the black casing. The RGB links on the TUF LC 240 rely on a three-way splitter instead of a complex controller. I play games on my home setup with a 1080ti and 3700x (also used for editing). This isn't meant to be a top-tier performance-to-price deal. A nice feature was the native compatibility with Ryzen cooler mounts, just for ease. It wasn't a huge investment, but it met my needs without being overly expensive compared to the liquid freezer 280 or Noctua options.
Even if it costs a lot, there’s still value and not just the price tag. You’re not just paying for the display—there’s a noticeable improvement over the older models. It won’t help much if the NZXT cam isn’t active, but the silent mode is a plus. The temps are great too, so it’s definitely worth considering.
