5600X3D.....
Adjusted the plan because the 56003XD doesn’t work with my budget MBU Asus PRIME B450-PLUS; now I’m aiming for the 58003XD as originally intended.
5600X3D functions well with B450 boards and requires minimal power, making it ideal for maximizing performance on a B450. PCIe 4.0 doesn't restrict which CPU fits on which board. The 5xxx series uses AM4 form factors—new models aren't necessarily AM5. Adhere to the naming pattern.
It's confirmed as an AM4 chip. The Prime 450 is an AM4 motherboard. https://www.asus.com/us/motherboards-com...-B450-PLUS Visit CPU Support and scroll to the 5600X3D section.
pcie4 isn't really important; the variations are minor. It's just marketing language again. Newer models are assumed better, right? I'd only get the 5600x3d if budget matters, otherwise why not consider the 5800x3D? You'll also face fewer warranty problems.
