5600x vs 5800x
I’m thinking about upgrading and need a powerful CPU since I use Premiere Pro and Photoshop. My graphics card is an RX 5700 XT, and I plan to add 32GB of RAM. I want to know if I should choose the 5600X for savings or the 5800X for better longevity. The 5600X would be cheaper upfront and could help lower the cooler cost, while the 5800X offers more durability and might make it easier to upgrade your CPU later.
I purchased a 5600X — a solid CPU. Right now I'm listing a 5800X, and I'm hoping someone will buy it today!
the 5000 series is the final option available for this motherboard. the upcoming 6000 series will need different boards. you have two choices: 1. purchase a 5600x now, then switch to a 5900x/5950x later (which doesn't make sense here—I'd start with a 3600 and upgrade to 5900 later). 2. buy a 5800x now and use it for about four years before needing a new platform. the choice depends on your present and upcoming budget.
The Intel 11th generation is performing exceptionally well, hitting impressive scores of 100 C and 212 F on the benchmarks. That’s definitely solid enough to make you reconsider eating an egg on that scale!
