5600X vs 5700G

Hello everyone, happy holidays! I'm weighing the 5600x against the 5700g, both priced similarly nearby. The main question is whether the 8-core configuration of the 5700g adds real value for gaming. Since most of my tasks are game-related, I'm uncertain which option is better. Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks and enjoy the season!

What are your plans? Do you have a GPU? If not, you won’t be able to use a 5600x because it lacks graphics support. You might be referring to the 5600G?

I'm focusing on the 5600x setup. I'll be playing games and doing some streaming occasionally, so I'm considering the 5700g option. I already own a GPU, but I plan to upgrade once the market settles.

I'm going to stream a bit more and that's why I considered the increased core count of the 5700g earlier. I should have mentioned it in the initial post.

I intend to upgrade the MoBo further, and I'm based in Canada. Streaming serves more as a casual pastime.

What's your RAM capacity? If you're planning to use an AMD CPU, upgrading the motherboard isn't usually necessary unless you're on a very tight budget.
