I'm unsure about the reviews, but the main point is avoid buying a 5800x unless you need a specific use case. It works similarly to a 5600x, and at 1440p it will be GPU intensive regardless.

Review these two benchmark clips. The 5950x outperforms the 5600x at 1440p possibly due to extra cores. I’m wondering if this is just a quirk or if the game really benefits from more cores at higher resolution. So far, I haven’t seen another solid comparison beyond these videos.

The win comes from a multiplayer experience where map size and activity levels affect performance, possibly increasing speeds by 400-500 MHz. This isn't unusual—most games hit limitations around 4 cores and threads. Purchasing a 5800X instead of a 5600X for gaming isn’t a better choice, just like buying a Titan RTX over something else.
