I’ve worked with several units before. I recently switched from a 3600 to the 5600X and updated the BIOS to F31 before adding the new graphics card. After flashing back to F31, the system boots up and all fans run at maximum speed without any issues. I’m still trying to figure out what’s going on.

Confirmed the bios update worked correctly with cpu-z. Checked RAM for proper installation. Consider resetting CMOS if needed.

I would start with a slower memory setup... I faced a similar problem with a 5900x and 3200Mhz native RAM. It wouldn't boot properly. Eventually, I used a slower stick paired with a faster one—it worked. Both sticks recognized each other. After swapping the slow stick out, it booted fine with the fast sticks. I’m really puzzled because I think changing the memory configuration should reset all settings. Does the motherboard have any LED indicators or error codes? In my experience, the LEDs clearly showed a memory issue when trying to power on.

I'll refresh the bios for my son's B550 and look into it. Apart from that, there doesn't seem to be anyone nearby with a zen3 cpuz showing up; the RAM looks solid. I haven't cleared the CMOS yet. I'll check if I have any extra sticks around.

Clear CMOS and apply optimized defaults. Or disable XMP.
