It doesn't always mean you should let things run hot. My setup uses a 5700X with an overclocked PBO, cooled by a 212 EVO. In Prime95 Small FFTs the temps stay around 80°C to 81°C. That's not what you'd expect. Adding another CCD isn't changing the core design—it's just using a different EVO cooler. Is that something special?

The CPU stays under 60°C and the GPU stays around 50°C, while I execute CPU-Z benchmarks and FurMark simultaneously. Surprisingly, even when idle, the CPU reaches mid-90s temperatures with only 0.9V draw. It’s unclear why the cooling system isn’t affecting idle performance so much, despite these CPUs being built for high heat. My reasoning suggests this isn’t a cooling problem or expected behavior, but something else is at play.

It proves it can handle the job, but probably not optimally. If your aim is peak performance rather than settling for a subpar fit, invest in better components instead of trying to match what’s available. Don’t overspend on thermal paste just to upgrade your entire system.

The problem likely stems from unstable voltage levels that aren't ideal for the CPU, combined with the GPU's thermal throttling as it struggles to meet high power demands from the AIO.

My 5700X is craving faster clock rates. I have enough heat capacity, and all core speeds match the boost frequency. This shows up in tests, giving me much better results than others with standard 5700X. I even surpassed the 5800X3D in Cinebench R23.

There seems to be an issue with how voltage is being managed. The high temperature occurred first on the AIO but also on a custom loop. It happens even when the system is idle, indicating the loop isn't handling the generated heat well. The radiator isn't getting hot and the GPU stays cool.

the only option available is the 3700x board, which I plan to test on the ITX board to determine if the issue lies with that board or the 5600x.

Do you have two CPUs? Have you tried both on your A320 board? I recommend checking if you can locate a B450 or B550 board and test it. If temperatures remain high, the CPU is likely damaged. Consider sending it back for replacement. I believe the A320 isn't powerful enough for such performance.
