Hello everyone, I recently purchased a new PC with full specifications: R5 5600G TeamGroup Vulcan Z 3200Mhz (8GBx2), MSI B450M Pro-VDH Max Samsung 970 EVO Plus 500GB Ant Esports VS400L PSU (including one Molex fan pre-installed above I/O shields), Ant Esports ICE-130AG. I had previously run C23 and hadn’t played any games yet. Watching a YouTube video surprised me—its maximum temperature reached 83°C, while mine hit 95°C in just about a minute! After opening the case, I found the CPU missing when I removed the Wraith Cooler; it was stuck to the heatsink with thermal paste. Removing it took around three hours using hair dryers and a screwdriver—it was quite a challenge. Now I understand that CPU coolers shouldn’t be pulled straight up in AM4 sockets, but should be slightly rotated so the thermal compound stays intact.
After recovering, I reapplied the thermal paste I had stored earlier, and everything functioned normally again. I left the PC idle for about 25 minutes, and here’s the temperature graph from MSI AfterBurner: during that time the room temperature was around 25-28°C, and I noticed good airflow in my space. I also tried removing both front and back plate covers on the case, but it didn’t make a difference. It seems the cabinet’s airflow is actually decent.
Currently, I’m using the XMP 1 profile for RAM and disabling OC settings for all components. Additionally, the UMA Buffer size/VRAM is set to 2GB for the Vega 7, and I’ve set the fan speed to full. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your time.

The problem seems to stem from your case design. It appears to lack a front air intake, which can cause overheating. Using a better cooler would improve performance and cost-effectiveness compared to replacing the entire case. The case itself likely contributes to the issue.
And keep it different: high CPU temps often point to poor pressure at the mount. With PBO 95, expect some limitations with stealth performance.
Start with the case open to avoid stale air buildup. If that doesn’t help, add a -0.05v adjustment to your core. The core voltage is slightly elevated.
Discuss the issues caused by excessive pressure during installation. Also, clarify that you haven’t adjusted any BIOS settings beyond enabling the XMP 1 profile, which is necessary for achieving 3200MHz performance in your RAM.
Too loose, too tight, or inconsistent across all four corners are signs of human error. For clarity, aim for a hand-tight fit with only about a quarter turn extra. Spread it evenly across all four corners if possible. A criss-cross rotation can help guide the process.
