I'm just starting out and the guidelines didn't mention where to share this. Right now I'm using a Ryzen 3 2200G with a GTX 1080. I got the CPU because of its price and my limited experience with hardware at that time, not for the graphics card. As expected, my games run okay but suffer from low FPS. This processor has a 3.7 GHz boost clock and only four threads. I'm thinking about upgrading to Zen 3 but am unsure which option to pick—5600G, 5600, or 5500. I know the 5500 has a smaller L3 cache, but it would still be four times what I have now. The 5600 also has higher base and boost speeds, though it costs more. What should I choose?

I don't have a motherboard, but I can help you find information about it if you tell me your system requirements or what you're building.

ASUS ROG B-550 Gaming. Got a really good deal on it during Black Friday and decided to pick it up so I wouldn't have to upgrade along with a 3000-5000 series CPU.
