I've recently switched from a 3070ti to a 5080 but now the system keeps crashing. Any stress on the GPU causes the whole thing to freeze. Even after updating Windows and BIOS, performance remains poor. My old GPU works fine, and integrated graphics solve all the problems. My current setup includes an i9-10850k, Gigabyte Z490 UD AC board, Corsair RM1000x 1000W motherboard, 32GB Corsair Vengeance RAM. I've tried updating BIOS, installing fresh drivers, using DDU before updates, and reinstalling Windows. One solution that helped was forcing the PCIe lane to run at gen 2, though it significantly slows everything down. I'm running out of options. Please help if you can. Thanks.

Purchase the Corsair RM1000x 1000W ATX 3.1 Power Supply from Cybenetics, Gold Certified. Find it on PBTech.co.nz.

Hello! I'm facing the same challenge with a nearly identical setup. The i9-10900k, Gigabyte Z490 UD AC board, Coolermaster 750w, and Corsair Vengeance RAM are all working without issues. However, when using the Palit 5070, the BIOS becomes slow and sometimes crashes entirely. It seems Windows might not be the cause since I lose the connection even in BIOS mode. Have you discovered a fix for this? Could there be an incompatibility between the Z490 board and the 5070?
