500w psu works well with GTX 970, i7 3820 and 16 Giga DDR3 RAM 2400 bass
I built n new pcs and as you can see above, I’m running my pc on a 500 watt seasonic psu. The minimum specs for the gtx970 card are 500 watts, an i7 3820 with 16 gb 2400 base RAM. The system is working until I tried to change the ram from 1333 base to 2400 and it didn’t even start up. I think the pressure on the psu might be the issue, so I kept only one 8gb 2400 base unit, which worked fine. I’m unsure whether the problem lies with the ram or the psu. I want to know if I should run both rams at 1333 base or just one 8gb on 2400. What’s better for me? Also, I’m considering buying another psu but there are problems in Egypt due to the local economy, so I have to make do with what I have now. I hope you can help me.
RAM typically consumes minimal power. Seasonic power supplies are generally among the most dependable and top-tier options available. Does your mainboard accommodate 16GB of 2400MHz RAM? Also, do both memory modules function separately?
