Check the specifications at the provided link. For Zen3, determine whether filling slots improves performance or achieves a dual rank. Decide between the 4x8 or 2x16 configuration based on your needs.

For future upgrades, using 2x16 makes sense, but choosing 4 sticks offers no advantage. It's better to opt for 3600 C16 instead of 18.

It has been shown that using four sticks enhances CPU performance, provided the 16GB sticks are dual-ranked.

4x8gb offers an advantage unless you're sure the 2x16 configuration includes dual-rank sticks—unless you purchase used units, which the seller might replace during assembly.

Most 16GB sticks are designed for dual rank by default. The 8GB ones seem to be the exception. ----- Correction: My earlier comment was incorrect after checking online. I should have been more careful. How do people identify RAM that supports dual rank? ----- Updated December 2, 2020 by kewtz My previous explanation was inaccurate; I learned from a quick search.
