Asrock states you can't exceed 2666MHz on your board. Instead, I'm using 4x32G dimms at 3800MHz without issues (they're all the same). Combining them often depends on chance. It's possible they'll align perfectly at the same frequency and voltage, or you might be limited to 2133MHz.
Functions well at XMP frequencies without problems. However, only experience confirms the outcome.
I own roughly 30 frequently used tabs in Chrome, another 10 on Edge, plus programming tools—so I really need plenty of memory. Back then everything wasn’t as optimized, but now Linux feels much more efficient. After launching a VM, it only used about 300MB with Mozilla and 8 open tabs. I can handle 300 tabs now, haha.
You're asking if you really need more than 32GB. Even with 50 tabs, it's about 5GB; 8GB is plenty. I own 64GB but only use around 30GB, thanks to the 16GB RAM cache!
I also observed that Chrome prioritizes the most active tabs after restoring the theme.
That's a great reminder about cache! I'll need to adjust my plan when I install the 32GB drive. Yes, I'll be able to use more space—hopefully enough to render the full motherboard files now. I had been wanting to try CAD before, but my old laptop was limited to around 8GB RAM and couldn't handle it properly. I already purchased the 32GB set because I got a 17 euro discount for it.
However, you might face restrictions due to the 2133 Jedec speed, and the 5600G memory controller doesn't perform well with four sticks.
