4GHz down to 3.4GHz

I upgraded my Ryzen 5 1600 to 4GHz and then when I began gaming, it returned to my default speed of 3.4GHz. Please let me know if this helps.

Experience erratic performance spikes. Reinstall BIOS and chipset drivers, then adjust clock speeds gradually using accurate voltage settings.

As before, unless the weather is harsh. Remember, the Ryzen 1000 has limited overclocking potential. Many users find it difficult to reach 3.9GHz with the 1600 model.

My temperatures stay under 80, but I've learned that updating your BIOS might pose risks.

Updating the BIOS is strongly advised—use the BIOS tool properly, and ideally during calm weather.

They didn't warn you about it. In fact, it's recommended for achieving a more consistent XMP profile or a stable one.

These issues occur when the connection drops during download, not from the system itself (unless the flashing is wrong, which I don’t think affects the BIOS)
