4G PCIe desktop adapter
4G PCIe desktop adapter
Hey everyone, I’m planning to relocate to a remote area where home internet speeds are only 5-9MBps. The local 4G connection offers around 100MBps, so I was considering getting an add-in card for 4G and using a portable SIM in the computer. I’m not sure if such a setup is available or practical for a desktop. Have anyone encountered anything similar?
Choose a mobile hotspot and a strong Wi-Fi connection for your computer to achieve faster speeds.
I planned to add a 4G hotspot for other gadgets, but I kept my PC separate. Thanks for letting me know earlier.
Refer to my earlier note. I discovered many issues with 4G connections, so I decided to run the PC independently. This way, my girlfriend watching Stranger Things won’t affect performance.
Consider checking a PCIe to M.2 adapter and M.2 WWAN cards. Alternatively, you might want a hotspot from Calyx Institute for areas with Sprint coverage.
