That's what I was doing when I was experimenting with non-k OC. The main thing was making sure the tracking matched the real core temperature closely.
jasonhickman17 is right. HWinfo64 is perfect for keeping an eye on CPU temperature during tests.

Exactly, that's what I was focusing on when experimenting with non-K OC. My main worry was whether the readings matched the actual core temperature. That was the same issue I faced before, but now I've upgraded to a 6700k, which allows me to overclock without the same concerns as non-K overclocking. The key point is that with the 6700k, it appears the package temperature reflects the hottest core, though I'm not sure about that yet.
