Hello, I recently assembled a system using these components:
I7 4790k
ga-z97x-soc force
PNY DDR3 2400mhz 4 x 8GB (32 GB total)
Corsair H110i cooler
I’m quite satisfied with the overclocking so far, and it runs stably on XTU and AIDA64. My aim was to achieve maximum performance with a core voltage below 1.3.
Currently, I have the following settings:
CPU 4.8 Ghz 1.29 volts @ 70°C max core peak temperature and 30°C idle.
Uncore / Cache 4.0Ghz ring at 1.24 volts
VRIN or voltage input at 1.9 volts
RAM is at 2400mhz with default XMP settings @ 1.65v. (I was surprised it worked with four sticks)
I’m wondering if these voltages are safe, and whether there are any additional settings I should adjust or disable to prevent potential CPU damage? For example, I previously set the ring voltage at auto and default 40x, while the motherboard had the ring at 1.4 volts; I changed it to 1.24 and noticed a drop of about 4°C in temperature.

It should work just as expected, you can always tweak other parameters, but the temperatures look acceptable and stability is confirmed. You may take screenshots of the BIOS before proceeding to a backup of your current setup for reference.

It should work well as is; feel free to try different settings. The temperatures look acceptable and stability is confirmed. You may take screenshots of the BIOS before proceeding, which could serve as a backup in case you need to revert to your current setup.
