4670k 4ghz Voltage?
4670k 4ghz Voltage?
I'm thinking about boosting my i5 4670k from 3.4ghz to 4ghz and wondering if I should adjust the voltage. If changing it is necessary, what voltage would be suitable? Since this is my first time overclocking, I'd prefer not to risk damaging anything. My motherboard is the Asus Z87-K, which might provide some guidance.
I am preparing to boost my i5 4670k from its default 3.4ghz to 4ghz. I’m curious if adjusting the stock voltage is necessary. If it is, what voltage would be suitable? This is my first time overclocking, so I’d prefer not to risk damaging anything. My motherboard is an Asus Z87-K, which might be useful. I plan to use a multiplier of 40 and increase the voltage to 1,200v. After running an Intel burn test for five minutes, if it passes, I’ll lower the voltage by 0.010v and repeat until I encounter an issue. This should help me find the optimal voltage for 4.0ghz. Good luck!
