Hi guys.
I've been pushing a 4.4ghz overclock on my 4670k for the last two days. Temperatures stayed steady between 27-35 during idle and 55-60 under load with a h100i. I added two extra 4gb RAM sticks from a different brand earlier this evening, same speed as my own. About thirty minutes later I encountered a BSOD with the error code irql not less or equal. After restarting, I checked CPU Z and saw it running at 1.378 volts.
I've heard that this voltage is quite high?
I'm wondering if the blue screen could have been caused by the RAM?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

the memory controller resides on the CPU. it could fail under extra strain.
but 1.38 is quite elevated. it's advisable to keep it under 1.3

This is definitely high. My current clock is 1.13. Are you also reaching such high speeds on all cores? I've checked per core and it matches i7 4790k clocks. Under full gaming load, it usually stays around 4.3 Ghz on three cores at about 34°C.

It's true I haven't adjusted any settings one by one, just used the BIOS feature to boost performance. That might seem a bit reckless if it raises the voltage too much.
