4:3 Format and Windows 10 version
4:3 Format and Windows 10 version
Hey! I used to play CS:GO on a stretched 4:3 monitor, but after updating to Windows 10 it didn’t work. I found a solution by adjusting settings in the Nvidia Control Panel (like setting it to fullscreen and ignoring scaling). However, the fix seems to have stopped working recently, so I’m back to using Black Bars. Anyone else facing this problem? Do you have another workaround? Thanks!
Check your Windows display settings by right-clicking the desktop. If the driver isn't listed, it might be a generic PNP monitor issue. This problem can occur with both newer and older systems. The note about the reference was correct.
However, adjusting the mouse movement directionally will offer better precision than up and down. That makes sense—playing in a 4:3 format is understandable, but changing it to a 16:9 aspect ratio isn't as intuitive.
Consider trying an older driver or resetting all the settings.
It doesn't vary in any direction. The pixels are pulled sideways, meaning your mouse moves the same pixel amount per unit length. It actually takes about 10 minutes to adjust again. I also tried 4:3 stretched for a while, but you notice better precision. I switched back to 16:9 because it preserves my native resolution for clarity and wider field of view.
