Do you have 2 and 4GB stick in dual channel perhaps? Try moving them over to a single-channel setup. So e.g. if you have the sticks in slot 2 and 4, move one of the sticks a slot over. But I would first start by reseating your memory, it's entirely possible the 2GB stick is not detected properly.
I think I might have one of those motherboards. It seems to have an Onboard feature similar to the Radeon 3000 series graphics with a BIOS setting for reserve memory for the built-in graphics. Edit: In the BIOS, adjust the memory reserved for integrated graphics. Also, what's the ambient noise in that room? Edit 2: If you're not relying on the built-in graphics, there should be an option to turn it off via the VGA port on the motherboard.
