I grabbed a Ryzen 5 1600 for testing and some overclocking experiments. It seems like I might have won the silicon lottery, though I don’t use Ryzen much. Curious to see how it performs. My Vcore is currently at 1.4 on a ROG X570-E.

Checking the model number—does it read 1600 or 1600af? If it's the AF version, it performs similarly to a 2600. If it's just 1600, 4.1 is quite strong, usually limited to around 3.9 or 4.0 on first-gen Ryzen all-core setups.

When I received it, I was informed it was a standard 1600 (non AF), but after further checks it appears to be reporting as a 12nm CPU, which seems like an AF model. That makes a lot of sense since I usually don’t win the silicon lottery, so I was surprised to see such good performance. Thanks for the feedback—I might not have guessed it was an AF variant otherwise.
