4 units at 3000 MHz, plus two at 3200 MHz RAM
I recently installed a new computer and found some components. My dad came over and offered to use my RAM since it’s not being used right now. I checked and he has 3000 Mhz RAM, while my old one is 3200 Mhz, both from Corsair Vengeance LPX. Could it be possible to downclock the 3200 and upgrade to 32GB RAM?
It’s possible to boost the RAM from 3000 to 3200 with some adjustments, but if it doesn’t work, you should consider removing the RAM entirely since a gaming PC with 32GB isn’t that important just yet.
Using a dual-rank plus dual-channel setup can genuinely boost frame rates significantly...
It made me decide to remove the GPU, reset the CMOS, and reinstall the operating system.
Except for games that require more than 16GB of RAM, such as Minecraft, Ark, Cities: Skylines, MS Flight Sim, etc., it's still important to have at least 32GB of system memory. RAM usage keeps increasing, and 16GB is now more like the minimum standard rather than a recommendation. If you believe 32GB is enough, consider ditching the cargo shorts and joining us in 2020. (My buddy's wife said my cargo shorts were outdated, I cried)
