I have a question. I recently purchased 5x 120mm fans to install them on a case. My motherboard has only one 3-pin connector and one 4-pin for the CPU. I also bought a reduction kit that allows connecting those 5 fans into one 4-pin connector, but now it’s connected to the 3-pin one. I’m fine with that, but I can’t control the RPM, which makes my PC very loud. I’m wondering if I can change it so the CPU fan is always connected to the 3-pin and runs at full speed, while the 4-pin fans connect to the CPU’s 4-pin connector on the motherboard, or if there’s a way to adjust fan speeds when using the 3-pin setup.

Sounds like a job for a nice fan controller. 5 case fans? Damn....says the guy with the jet engine and open case haha.

It's fine, they're now linked to the CPU with a 4-pin connection and everything is functioning excellently.
