I was testing system stability with 3DMark, checking GPU and CPU overclock performance. At first, I noticed crashes, thinking it might be the GPU overclock. Then I adjusted the core and memory clocks, but the crashes persisted after the second test. Looking at the results, my GPU ran at about 2040MHz, memory at 1875MHz, and CPU around 4.9GHz just before the crash. Suddenly the CPU jumped to 7.32GHz? That doesn’t make sense with those clock speeds. Running at 10,600K on a 4.9GHz core and 2080 graphics with 2040-2070MHz memory clocks—it’s odd how things behave under those conditions.
I saw that reading at a 7.32GHz frequency during the broadcast.
There are many 3Dmark stands available. It seems to be around 03, 05, or 06 vantage points, but there might be some issues with stability.
I used c20 and played titles such as Forza and Cyberpunk—rendering videos worked well. My system crashes with Prime95, but that doesn’t bother me much since everything else runs smoothly. The first 3DMark test was okay. I’ll try IntelBurnedTest now to check stability.
I bet on memory optimization. What settings are you applying? For clarity, I prefer your PSU too. They’re a few years old now—10 years for mine. CP series, 850W and 1kW. CPU is an I5 10600k at 4.8GHz. Motherboard from Gigabyte Vision, RAM is two Corsair Vengeance LPX modules, 16GB total, 3600MHz. GPU is a GTX 2080 in an Aorus RTX case. Storage includes Corsair A400 240GB with WD Blue drives. Power supply is Antec High Current Gamer GOLD 850W, 80+ rated. Cooling system is Corsair H100X 240mm AIO.
I own both units at 3600MHz CL17-21-21-41 and made some adjustments to the secondary timings, though they aren’t very precise. This power supply is actually quite reliable. I planned to purchase a 750W model but it wasn’t available when I went shopping, so I opted for the larger 850W one for potential future GPU upgrades. My system currently draws around 350-400W under load, which means the PSU isn’t even making noise.
