I was thinking about whether doing well on the timespy non-extreme test would mean I’d have better FPS in Direct X 12 games. I’ve noticed my scores were high on the 3Dmark SteelNomad score, and with an RX 9070 XT I got lower results compared to other GPUs. It seems like if I perform well in the normal version of 3Dmark SteelNomad, I should also do better in the light version. The same applies to Firestrike.

3DMark is a synthetic test and its results are only truly comparable with other similar systems. In gaming terms, it varies depending on the specific game. Try running your game and check the FPS you achieve. You might want to adjust in-game graphics settings to hit your desired FPS—often shadows require more processing power without significantly improving overall play.
