3950X and X570 Aorus Pro Wifi model features a red CPU indicator, no additional updates.
Hello everyone, I'm facing a problem with my initial build after five years. Everything seems put together—no testing outside the case due to overconfidence. I receive power and fan spin, but I don’t boot up. The CPU indicator on my motherboard shows a CPU issue—specifically, the Ryzen 9 3950x CPU cooler. I'm using a Corsair H115i Mobo, X570 Aorus Pro Wifi RAM, and a Trident Z Neo 32GB CL16-3600 GPU. My PSU is an EVGA SuperNova 850W 8-+. I've made several steps so far: reseated CPU/cooler, reconnected CPU 8pin (including trying the other port on PSU), and flashed the BIOS to version 11. I ran it with one stick of RAM in A1. It's worth mentioning that the motherboard has at least one fault—fans connected to CPU_FAN or the SYS_FAN next to the CPU 8pin power connector aren’t spinning. My plan right now is to bring both components back to Micro Center and test them together, since swapping them would cost around $30. I also live in a busy area of NYC, so I wanted to check if there are any additional steps I should try before heading out. Thanks for your help. Edit: There was a typo.
The qflash BIOS update was a separate process from a standard BIOS update. They serve distinct purposes in the system setup.
I do, but it'd kind of be a horrifying pain. The six fans, RAM, and GPU all seem to get power just fine (though I of course couldn't confirm if it's sufficient power).
