Your top choice would be the 3950. It supports gaming, streaming, Photoshop, and video editing with up to three monitors.

The 3900x and x570/b550 configuration makes more sense because you can sell the 3900x and then acquire the new 4900x after summer.

Certainly! The reason lies in the way the information is structured to highlight clarity and purpose.

Aim for the 3900x version. I believe the 3950x doesn't provide significant extra performance to warrant the cost for your needs. In gaming or streaming, it shouldn't offer much improvement. Regarding video editing, I don't have much experience with that type of work.

3900x costs around four hundred dollars. 3950x is noticeably worse than 3900x because it doesn’t reach the same level as 3900x. In September, a new 4900x will be released. If you want it now, 3900x should still work well; you might sell it for about three hundred dollars after the summer. Once you get the 4900x, it’s worth around five hundred to five thousand dollars.

Getting the 3950x would cost roughly 700 dollars. That seems unnecessary for gaming. The 4900x looks more promising than the 3900x, as per some rumors. 3950x equals about 700 dollars. If you buy 3900x and then sell it, you could make between 150 to 250 dollars.

When using 1440p or higher resolution, the 3950x setting will offer a slight boost in frames per second. This improvement is usually imperceptible to the average user. Even at 1080p, the gain won’t justify the cost difference between 420 and 750.

You might consider 3950 as a waste because it doesn’t meet your needs. The CPU isn’t serving its intended purpose, and upgrading to a 4900 makes more sense when it becomes available.

The additional 4 cores won't have the same effect on your tasks as a 4900x which is expected to run faster due to higher clock speeds.
