Hello, I'm currently upgrading my PC. The Mobo MSI B350 Mate remains unchanged, and the RAM stays the same. I'm switching the GPU from 1060 to 5700X and the CPU from Ryzen 5 1700 to Ryzen 3800X. After finishing the build and turning it on, I noticed the red CPU light appears. Could there be compatibility issues between the B350 Mate and the Ryzen 3800X? Or are there other solutions I should consider? I've tried most of them. Thanks in advance, Tomas.

Did you refresh the BIOS before the upgrade? You must have BIOS version E7A34AMS or higher. Connect your old CPU, get the BIOS file from this link: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-PC-MATE Place the BIOS onto a USB stick (make sure it's empty, follow the steps in the download folder for details), update the BIOS and install the new CPU. (By the way, this setup isn't ideal... The PC Mate is mainly suited for Ryzen 5 models, but should handle the 3800X at default.)

You might lose the unlocked features after swapping components, as the system could reset settings. The new hardware won’t affect the M.2 SSD storage, but changes to the GPU, CPU, and motherboard may impact recognition or functionality.
