Consider the price variation and whether the Zen 3 chip is a suitable balance for the performance gains from more cores and threads in the 3700X versus the 5600X. The 1700 is a solid choice for balancing speed and cost.

The 5600x performs better and delivers higher FPS. Unless you require features that rely on multicore processing, consider purchasing the 5600x.

BeamNG leverages more cores for its physics engine, but the 5600x offers quicker single-core performance, which benefits games that don’t need full 8-core scaling. Whether the extra cores matter depends on comparing benchmarks for this specific setup.

The 5600X is a quicker gaming CPU now and will become even faster in the future. The extra two cores of the 3700X will easily be surpassed by the faster cores in the 5600X.

Another vote for the 5600x. I just got one and really enjoy playing BeamNG. It runs smoothly and lets me handle more traffic AI cars before performance drops.
