It's consistently the same here. I didn't perform a new setup. Perhaps a fresh start would help.

4.4 GHz is a single-core processor. For a single-threaded Cinebench R15/R20 test, you should notice one core approaching that speed.

I verified the windows power plan settings. After a few updates, the Ryzen optimized power plan was switched off, which made a difference. The R15 score has improved to 2111.

My 3700x delivers a slight improvement. I’ll check you again after work; I believe it could reach 4.3, though that’s without PBO, so it’s not a full-core boost. It seems to rely on a few cores or single-core enhancement rather than all cores. Both AMD and Intel’s maximum boosts appear inconsistent, with some hitting advertised speeds and others not. The issue might stem from more than just the chips themselves—it could involve other variables.

The SenseMi method relies on temperature adjustments. Reduce heat, increase average performance gains.

Reviewed a bit more. Performance sits around 4,150 to 4,290 FPS in games. I’ve noticed it occasionally spikes to 4.325 on the desktop. Probably mixed up core settings with a single peak. Still curious if any BIOS tweaks can help without manual overclocking. RAM is 3600cl16.

Ive seen these running hot enough to derate to 3.9ghz. So you're doing just fine. Run it like it is, I see no need to change anything.

Temperatures need to drop significantly for the maximum boost to activate. Even with a 65°C limit on Running Cinebench R20 and a D15s chip, it doesn’t quite reach 4.4GHz.

Expect close to the maximum boost around 50mhz below the single core limit, with slight variations. You have solid evidence to confirm higher boost speeds at lower temperatures. My 2700x with an 8c water delta boost runs all cores at 4300mhz on auto, without needing PBO. This capability was also highlighted during AMD's initial release. The 3000 series has a problem: the FIT controller caps the voltage, typically around 1.320v (±), to avoid excessive current draw at the connector. That’s why we often check if 1.4v is acceptable. It’s safe for low-current pulls like single core boosts.
