3700X Boosted to 4.4 GHz at 1.275V
3700X Boosted to 4.4 GHz at 1.275V
I'm placing some screenshots here since I was reading and became confused. I wanted to confirm this is safe and won't cause any issues, especially at 4.4 GHz with HWinfo showing Core VIDs @ 1.275 Max. Is this suitable for a 3700X device?
Cinebench doesn't perform any error checking, so it can't confirm your stability. An unstable overclock may lead to errors rather than crashes. It might not stop the program or install but could damage data, causing issues after some time. For instance, moving large amounts of data between disks often results in corrupted videos. Games may show odd bugs, and saved files can become unreliable. Running a test program with error detection would help assess stability. Your 3800x might seem stable in Cinebench but could fail after restarting the PC after a short memory test. Overclocking is exciting, but always verify your CPU settings carefully after changes. With a water cooling setup, I achieved speeds of 4.4-4.45GHz in games without any adjustments.
