If you experience temperatures up to 42°C during the day, your readings become more reasonable. The surrounding or room temperature influences overall system heat levels. For someone on the northern side of the globe with a room temperature around 20°C and a CPU temperature near 70°C, the same setup would register about 92°C. With a stock AMD CPU cooler, a delta of roughly 30°C above ambient is typical when idle, and around 50°C during heavy gaming loads is normal. It’s advisable to upgrade to an aftermarket CPU cooler. However, avoid large models like the NZXT M22; they’re too compact. Opt for a solid metal tower or a 240mm/280mm AIO cooler instead. Where are you located? A temperature of 42°C during the day suggests you’re in a tropical or equatorial region (e.g., Korea, Japan, Brazil, Egypt).
I'm in Cyprus, on a Greek island. The temperatures swing between 42c and 30c... But at night they drop a lot... It's not normal with the open case and 70c when idle...! The fan speeds up every 2-3 seconds and then slows down again, repeating the same pattern... I'm heading back to Intel... tired of these AMD factory issues...

It was too late... I sent it back! I received an intel 9600K and that’s all... I had enough... At least they could sell it without a heatsink and say it needed heavy cooling. Intel seems to be handling things properly... But I don’t like replacing original parts with aftermarket ones. I wasn’t expecting it, since with the 2600 model I didn’t face such issues. Maybe the cooler or the CPU socket was bent by mistake at the factory—so the heatsink couldn’t sit right on the socket. Only the edges would touch the thermal paste, while the rest stayed untouched...!!! I even patented the Gigabyte backplate adding extra space, but it didn’t work this time!
