Hi! You're looking to enhance your PC with some Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro RAM, specifically two 8GB modules at 3600 MHz. Right now you're running a 2600 with an ASUS B450-F motherboard. It's smart to consider this upgrade, especially since you're planning to switch to a new motherboard when Zen 3 is released. The ASUS says the board supports up to 3200 MHz with the latest Ryzen chips.

It's not the motherboard speed that's important, but the CPU's performance. A budget-friendly option is around 3200 CL16. The price for a CL16 3600 model isn't specified here.

Ryzen might have issues with that RAM because of inconsistent timing settings unless you adjust them yourself. I’ll choose Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (2x 8GB, 3200MHz, 16-bit).

You can likely lower the clock speed to 3200 and reduce latency to cl16. The cost of a 3600 cl16 kit is worth considering if the price gap is significant.

3200 equates to 5 EUR less. Would you then overlook the key benefit if you upgraded to a "4700"?

Cas latency tends to decrease when using a lower frequency setup with a less expensive kit.

You can purchase the CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 for around €98. A more favorable option would be the CMW16GX4M2K3600C16, priced near €225.

3600 kit: CMW16GX4M2D3600C18 3200 kit: CMW16GX4M2C3200C16 are both new. I might have a discount, so exact prices aren’t clear.

Both options will yield the same results. Choose the more affordable package.
