There seems to be a pricing difference between the UK and elsewhere. For 32GB, the 18GB model costs the same as the 16GB model at 3600MHz. You might want to adjust your timing settings if needed.

I would choose 32GB. Benchmarks show improvement with CL16, but in practice you'll experience more noticeable speed gains with a 32GB storage.

It varies based on your needs. 32GB meets the requirements for most users, offering sufficient memory. For Ryzen systems with stricter limits, tighter capacity can improve speed. The impact will depend on how noticeable it becomes. Choosing 32GB gives you a solid foundation for now, though DDR5 may pose challenges later. If maximum performance is your goal, consider CAS16 instead.

I'll choose the cl16 because it's more affordable. It makes sense to opt for 32GB since I often run a heavily modified Minecraft server where most of my RAM gets used during both gameplay and hosting. I believe DDR5 won't be available for a few years, so it's not a priority right now.

You haven't mentioned your intended use for the PC. For gaming, 16 GB is more than enough because games don’t require much memory. On the other hand, will there be a noticeable difference between CL16 and 18? Likely not, though in some situations CL16 might be preferable or better if you prioritize faster RAM. CL18 tends to have higher latency, although it could be improved with the right sticks. I’d stick with what I did—CL16 (or even better). If you aim for 32 GB, you can upgrade later and benefit from faster memory than CL18 would offer.

Sure, I understand. I’m focusing on the CL16 and mostly play games, but I also manage a Minecraft server and use Unreal Engine occasionally. If needed, I can always purchase more.
