Better single-core speed leads to quicker performance in most tasks, making Intel a better choice. It also uses less power, so it doesn’t require a high-end board.

Higher IPC with reduced TDP makes it a solid pick for gaming unless you require additional cores. The 2700x seems more suitable for productivity tasks.
