You're experiencing boot issues after upgrading your motherboard. It seems the system isn't recognizing the new BIOS or hardware. Consider checking connections, ensuring all cables are properly seated, and verifying the power supply is stable. If problems persist, try resetting the BIOS settings or consulting the manufacturer's support for further guidance.
You allowed it to rest for a considerable period before starting the memory exercises. The jump from 2600 to 5800x required much time for the system to handle the training.
Linus has repeatedly demonstrated that launching an AMD system from scratch may require more than ten minutes initially.
Thanks for your patience! After installing the 5600 and waiting over 30 minutes, you're still having issues. You've tried the 3600 and reflashed to a previous working BIOS, but the 5600X isn't booting with any version. It's possible this could be a DoA (difficult to assemble). Let me know if you'd like more details!
I checked three BIOS updates (all work with 5600X) and tested the 3600 boots consistently, except for the 5600X. I’ve used most of my thermal paste—any advice you have before swapping it out?
Yup, the first time I installed the 3600 it took so long I thought it was DOA. It was much slower than any of my previous Intels. Thanks, I did try that too. One beep on the 3600 meaning no issues and no sound on 5600X. I've assumed it's the CPU as every other part is identical and CPU/RAM combo is on the Aorus compatibility list. Packed and ready to return. The only issue is Amazon are only doing refunds at the moment and no exchanges (possibly due to shortages?).
