Hey everyone, just checking in and hoping everyone's safe. I recently installed my PC using a Ryzen 5 3600 processor and an ASRock B550M PRO4 motherboard. I'm running Crucial Ballistix RGB 3600 RAM, but it doesn't reach the full 3600 MHz. After updating the BIOS, I managed to hit 3200 MHz, though when XMP is turned on, it drops back down to 2666 MHz.
You might attempt manual speed and timing settings, though Ryzen only officially supports up to 3200MHz and higher frequencies can be more challenging. The memory controller in Zen 2 and Zen 3 CPUs performs better than older generations but can still be finicky at times. Observers have reported consistently hitting around 3200MHz, while others manage 4000MHz in full speed mode using XMP/DOCP profiles.
