Hello everyone, I discovered an old laptop in my home that I hadn’t used for a while because it slowed down significantly. I initially thought the issue was due to the hard drive, but after checking Task Manager, I noticed the CPU was stuck at around 0.13 or 0.48 GHz depending on how often I restarted it. I read many articles online, but nothing resolved the problem. I suspect the CPU thinks its core is using 35W and is throttling itself. I’ve updated the BIOS and drivers to the latest versions. The laptop model is Lenovo G50-80 with 4 GB RAM, an i5-5200u processor, and an R5 M330 graphics card. The issue continues both when it’s plugged in and when it’s off. I’m still trying to figure out the right settings.

If it's an hardware error then there's nothing you could do, other than getting it repaired which at this point, could cost more than the laptop's worth.
