3570k Offset Not Making Sense
3570k Offset Not Making Sense
I have a 3570k with stable performance at 1.25v and 4.4ghz (manual). I’ve looked into offset explanations that don’t make sense, so I’ve tried adjusting it myself. I’ve read that you should take your most common VID value while under load and subtract the manual voltage from the BIOS settings. This gives a small positive number (+0.10), which triggers a blue screen right away. What I did was manually set values and run Prime95 until the offset under load matches 1.25v. It seems to be around +0.40, though I don’t remember the exact figure. Still, games keep crashing even when I allow the maximum voltage, because they undervolt and crash. I’m not sure what to do next.
