Hello, my friend has these computer details: Ryzen 5 3400G Asrock B550M-HDV Mobo, BIOS version 1.90, Teamgroup T-Force Dark Z 2x8 at 3600MHz CL18. It runs at 2933MHz, 1.35v, and CL18. I think the issue is that games he tries to play run at very low frame rates—even though they have high specs. Examples include Cyberpunk 2077 at 2-15 fps with low settings, AMD FSR 2.1 in performance mode at 720p, Need For Speed Unbound 5 at 25 fps with low settings, Monster Hunter World at 20-50 fps mid/low, and so on. He often has to lower the graphics to play.

Things we noticed:
- Other tests with the same CPU and GPU gave much better results
- BIOS disables the integrated GPU
- The 1650 is handling the game, not the built-in Vega 11
- Power draw stays around 60W–90W, mostly stable
- Temp never goes above 75°C
- RAM stays within normal range
- CPU runs at 3900–4000MHz with less than 40W draw
- No overheating issues

Possible reasons:
- The CPU might struggle due to mismatched B550 chipset and RAM speeds
- Faulty RAM could be causing problems, especially with XMP profiles
- Memory leaks or a faulty M.2 slot could be involved
- The M.2 slot itself might have an issue
- Some component is underperforming or outdated

We’ve considered replacing the CPU, but we want to confirm it won’t make the system behave like an old Pentium 4 after the upgrade.

@Hanabispp 1. Load the newest BIOS versions (2.20, 2.30). Version 1.80 is problematic (Agesa 1202). 2. Install the latest chipset drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/...t-am4/b550. 3. Apply the newest CPU drivers: https://www.amd.com/en/support/apu/amd-r...-ryzen-5-1. 4. Update additional software with IoBit Driver Booster 5. Retest.

Avoid using it since it often sets the incorrect drivers. However, except for that, I fully support everything you mentioned.

My claims are grounded in real-world experiences across various systems. I've worked with numerous platforms and tools, drawing insights from hands-on usage.

I haven't tried any universal driver installer before, and I'm not sure about anything beyond 1000. In my role, we used a paid version occasionally, but it sometimes caused more issues than help. It seems we went through around seven different ones over two years.

Updating the iGPU Vega drivers might resolve conflicts caused by multiple GPU drivers on the same system. Since you're not using an iGPU or an AMD GPU, those specific driver issues shouldn't apply.

The integrated GPU belongs to the 3400G and shares the same infinity fabric as the CPU. The drivers cover the entire APU, not just the GPU. Disabling the IGPU means the corresponding driver won't be installed.
