You're considering two Ryzen processors for your new PC. The Ryzen 5 3600 offers better performance for most tasks, while the Ryzen 3 3300x is more budget-friendly. With an Asrock B450 Pro4 motherboard, the Ryzen 5 3600 would likely provide a smoother experience.

I’d consider getting an x570 board or hold off until the b550 comes out, so I can upgrade to a 4000 series CPU later. For gaming only, the 3300x seems sufficient. (What GPU are you using?) But if you can afford it, the 3600 offers better long-term support.

Since you already have a GPU, it's best to hold off on the B550 and opt for a 3600X with solid RAM instead.

700 CAD might yield a 3700x gain plus a quality X570 board.

Choosing a 3600x and X570 board with additional funds for extra RAM could be a better choice.
